ETI Board Nominations

Nominations are now open

Nominations are now open for the following vacancies on the 2026/27 Electrotechnology Training Institute Limited (ETI Ltd) Board:

• 1 x Board Member for a 3-year term
• 1 x Board Member for a 1-year term

Nominations must comply with ETI Ltd's registered rules (ETI Ltd Constitution & By Laws) and can be submitted from Tuesday 25 August 2026. Nominations must reach the ETI Ltd email inbox or postal address no later than 12 noon AWST on Tuesday 15 September 2026.

Position requirements

• Three-year commitment (One-year for 1-year term)
• 10-12 hours of your time per month
• You will be required to read all board meeting material prior to each monthly meeting
• You will be required to attend a minimum of 8 of the 11 meetings annually
• Represent ETI Ltd at Stakeholder Awards and Events
• Within six (6) months of joining the Board, you will be required to complete the Company Directors Course and the Finance for Not-for-profits Course through the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD). (approx. seven days).

Desirable skills, experience and attributes of directors 

When members are nominating and electing Member Elected Directors they are encouraged to have regard to the skills, experience and attributes of the Board that are best likely to lead the Organisation in the pursuit of its strategies and Objects and to assure proper governance oversight. These should include:

• an understanding of and relevant experience in the needs and evolving development of the industry;
• relevant experience and qualifications with respect to industry training and skill development courses and offerings;
• relevant business, professional, financial and governance experience, skills and acumen;
• experience in the governance and management of not-for-profit, charitable or community-based organisations; and
• diversity of experience and perspective.
