Former EGT apprentice and CET student wins GOLD at WorldSkills Australia

We would like to congratulate Andrew Duffield, former EGT apprentice, who has been announced as the gold medal winner of the 2021 WorldSkills Australia National Championship for Electrical Installation. This is an incredible accomplishment and the first time a TeamWA competitor has won this category!.
The competition rewards the highest level of skill and performance by electrical apprentices and we applaud the tremendous amount of talent and dedication exhibited by Andrew during this year’s state and national championships.
Andrew completed his apprenticeship in June this year and we would like to acknowledge his most recent host employers, DGC Electrical, DCI Electrical Services (WA) and Metrowest Electrical & Communications.
Andrew goes on to represent Australia on the world stage next year at WorldSkills Shanghai 2022 from 17 – 22 October. We wish him the very best and look forward sharing his story and following his progress over the next 12 months.
